Most unproductive day ever

So I had work yesterday and that turned out to be a waste of a day. Normally I wouldn't mind getting paid for doing nothing, but this time I worked so hard to do nothing. As a matter of fact, I went beyond being unproductive; I was destructive. And I blame my manager for that.

So our company has store-wide layouts for each shelf by category. They only differ depending on the size of the store and how many shelves are available for a certain category. I was assigned to update price tags, and if anything gets moved on the shelf to a different location I would take care of that as well. Normally only the prices are changed, if they even change.

Not this time. Everything was changed. The price tags had to be changed either way, but I was not prepared to move the products around. For 5 hours I stripped the shelves bare, painstakingly took out each peg and repositioned them, put the products back on the shelves, and then the manager who told me to do it said "oh this is the wrong one."

"Well can we just leave it as is? I'm almost done."

"Of course not. Put everything back."

I started putting it back, but I didn't finish, and I didn't stick around overtime to get it done. It's not my fault I got the wrong layout.

Reading week!

First day off, and I met up with one of my best friends for bday planning. Have some pretty good ideas :P

Later went to Staples for some errands with her. Then we went to Second Cup to get drinks. Because the guy working there is also my "superior" at Staples, he hooked me up with free drinks.

Whoa! Amazing!

I'd hook him up with free office supplies but I think he'd yell at me.

Overall a good day off school and work.

Oops free money yay! (Wink)

This actually happened yesterday.

New manager forgot he was supposed to open the store, so the entire scheduled staff chilled out outside in the mall for an hour and a half until another manager came to the rescue (of the store; I could've sat there all day).

And we get paid for doing nothing. That's amazing.

But then I bought X-Men 3 the Official Game and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for computer and that set me coupla bank notes back. And worst of all they don't work on my computer because either my monitor or my video card or both aren't up to the task.

Selling both of them for $15 each! Prices are negotiable. Ring me up! Both games were brand new until I carefully opened the packages so they still have that sweet new game smell.
