Create your story!

Readers, I just got a great idea. I'm thinking of writing a fiction story in the form of a blog. Every month or so, a chapter of the story will be out. But that's not all! After each chapter, readers can add their input to the tale on the directions you want the story take. This is still a pretty rough idea, and I still need a lot of things figured out. This is where the readers step in as well. I need a story, or an idea that can be made into a story. I need characters, genres, plots, settings, everything. I'm sure a lot of you out there have always wanted to write a story of your own, but never got to it because you have no time or just suck at writing. That's ok, I'll be the one to do the lengthy work! So toss me all kinds of ideas and I'll try to shape an award-winning story with what I get from you guys. Here's what I need:

-Genre (preferably not historical fiction or pure sci-fi. I don't wanna argue with nerds)
-Plot
-Setting
-Characters
-Theme
-Anything else you can think of

Hope it all turns out great. If this story makes it big and I get a lot of money from this, the people who contributed ideas that I actually use in the story will each get 5% of the profit. That should be an incentive for you readers :D So throw me some ideas! Let your creative juices flow!

Armistead Maupin wrote the Tales of the City series of books this way. He was a writer for the San Francisco Herald (I think I have the right paper!) and as the story evolved, readers sent in their ideas and he worked many of them into the story. The rest is history. I think you have a good idea.
